The Faria gauges include a compass, tachometer with an hour meter, fuel gauge, oil pressure, speedometer, temperature, trim, and volt meter. The plastic lenses in these gauges are specially coated to resist fogging and condensation. A depth sounder designed to alert boaters of shallow water is also built into the F224?s helm. And when routine maintenance calls, the engine hatch has gas assisted lifts. An iPod/MP3 port and 12 VDC receptacle are at the helm, making it easy to enjoy a music collection or charge a cell phone. The port is located in a storage cubby lined with non-skid material that minimizes sliding and jostling of electronic devices. Comfortable seating and practical storage is plentiful on the F224. In the cockpit, new bucket seats are more accommodating with suspension and bolsters for an extra smooth ride.
